Regina Sosing is an award-winning and highly respected community leader and a popular media practitioner with over 15 years of experience in print and radio broadcasting. What distinguishes her from others in her field of expertise is that Regina finds fulfilment in being able to help people convinced that she is in this world to add value not only to her own but more so to the lives of people around her and the community. It's simple to explain why: Whether it's hosting and managing Tinig Pinoy Radio’s global operations as its Director of Programming, her duties as cofounder and Associate Editor of the community newspaper Pinoy Eh! Or her task as Marketing Director with Links Bridges, Regina Sosing has dedicated much of her life to creating and sustaining community. With Tinig Pinoy, Regina has built strong ties with visiting Filipino dignitaries, politicians, including a former Philippine president and many senators, as well as entertainment icons most of whom became her guests in the show. The same goes with many Canadian municipal, provincial and federal politicians including several cabinet ministers.
Regina is a vital cog in the ascent of Tinig Pinoy to its now pioneering and well established position as a global radio station serving the Filipino Diasporas around the world. Regina regularly hosts three shows with Tinig Pinoy that feature a combination of Filipino music, culture and current affairs. She regularly features guests including politicians and internationally known artists from the Philippines. Unknown to many, Regina is a licensed midwife, a computer admin graduate, a doting mother to Nathan and Conrad and a loving wife to Don. She is currently a Travel Specialist at her work place in federal government. Regina has come a long way from the far flung town of Pambujan, Samar where she was born and raised by an educator mom and a local politician father thus her nurturing qualities as well as her strong community-service orientation. Based in Ottawa, Ontario, she's determined to continue being a bridge to connect people and communities leveraging the power of radio and social media to bring forth a better world for all. One of her Facebook handles is The Bridge Lady. Perhaps unrealized by many is the fact that this lady is truly an embodiment of the link that binds communities, businesses and politics.
