People who need people

Home for Girls

We are fond and dedicated donors of the Home for Girls shelter and care institution of the town of Singalat, Palayan City in the Philippines.

Home for Girls is a temporary residential facility providing 24-hour group living on a temporary basis to girls who are in a difficult situation. These girls are 18 years of age and younger whose needs cannot be met adequately by their own families and relatives over a period of time. Most of these children are victims of abuse, trauma or recruited involuntary into shady labor.

The shelter is not only a safe house, where they can, it also provides resources for healing, recovery, counseling, theraphy, education, skills training and livelihood activities.

These resources require additional funding as government allocated budgets do not always suffice. (This center is run by the Department of Social Welfare and Development of the Philippines)

Every year we give these girls a chance by donating and being there ourselves.
