Not just some beauty pageant
Bb. Pilipinas of the World beauty pageant--remarkable since 1990.
An non-profit organization, the Binibining Pilipinas of the World started in Toronto in the late 80s by a group of well-established fashion designers and an experienced pageant director from the Philippines, Litto Lagasca. It didn't take too long for Mr. Lagasca, who moved to Toronto and started a career as a Social Worker, to pursue and continue his interest in running a pageantry for the purpose of mentoring girls. Just as he did for a few years before he migrated to Canada from the Philippines, Litto loved the idea of grooming and teaching girls to become the best they can be.
Litto recognized a huge difference between running a pageantry in the Philippines and in Canada. For one, Litto realized that what he truly enjoyed was when he successfully uplifts the spirits of under-privileged girls in the Philippines to become a pageant winner. To be continued.

We need to sacrifice our time to secure a better future for our world. The way we see it, there is no other way to do this than to create an easier bridge for our youth to cross. The same bridge we crossed when we were younger but this time it would be sturdier. We are proud and dedicated mentors of young people of every social strata. To those "who have" we diligently train and provide a proven path. To those "who do not have", we offer our love and continue to support them financially and include them in endeavors that was once only possible to affluent families.
