Present Involvement: Federation of Filipino Canadians of Brampton - President (since 2015), active member and director since 2010. Fiesta Filipina Dance Troupe – Auditor (since 2008), active member and director since 2008, started with the group as parents’ representative to the board.
Past Involvement: Association of Filipino Canadian Accountants - Auditor ( 2014 to 2015 Director (2012 to 2013 ) Member since 1997 Brief Information on Groups: FEDs since 2004 has been promoting the Filipino culture and traditions in Brampton through events like Filipino Fiesta, Barrio Fiesta, and the Philippine Pavilion in Carabram in partnership with Fiesta. Fiesta now 50 years old has been promoting the Filipino culture through dance and music. It has represented the Philippines in various festivals outside Canada. AFCA since 1977 has been helping Filipino accountants especially new immigrants through professional development programs, consulting with other non-profit Filipino community organizations, and networking with Professional Accounting Groups in Canada.
